Technology Meets the Barn

Jennifer E. Koerv — Founder & CEO. A technologist, rider, and horse owner based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, Jennifer brings deep technical expertise to a sport she loves. As a rider and parent guiding her daughter Barrett through the competitive Hunt Seat world, she saw firsthand how the entire community surrounding the horse — the trainer, the vet, the farrier, the bodyworker, the barn manager, the show coordinators — could all benefit from digitally coordinated collaboration, integrated systems, shared memory, focused analysis. She started building the AI tools the industry deserved.

That vision became Canter Intelligence: rider performance analytics that help equestrians and trainers pinpoint what to work on, barn monitoring that keeps horses safer around the clock, and an operations layer that ties it all together. Jennifer rides and keeps her horses Chico and Roman Candle at Whip N Spur in Lake Oswego, where she and Barrett train with Swan Training. Every feature is tested in the real world, on real horses, by someone who lives this life every day.

Barrett F. Koerv — An accomplished Hunter rider, Barrett has been riding since age eight and competes on Roman Candle. Her experience as a competitive equestrian provides invaluable perspective on what riders and trainers actually need — and what they do not.
